Ontario Light Shows
Ontario Light Shows designs music-synchronized, addressable LED lighting for homes, businesses and public events, from permanent roofline accents to large-scale parade productions. The company runs professional DMX and Art-Net control hardware and has powered more than 65 live events across Ontario.
Strengths
- Works in individually addressable pixel lighting rather than fixed-colour strings, enabling music-synchronized shows and colour control.
- Uses professional-grade DMX and Art-Net control hardware, the standard for commercial and event lighting.
- Has completed 65-plus live events and installed over 1.2 million pixels, indicating substantial production capacity.
- Offers permanent, year-round roofline accent lighting alongside one-off event and parade productions.
- Uses IP67/IP68-rated weatherproof hardware suited to outdoor, all-season installation.
Considerations
- Best suited to homeowners and event organizers wanting programmable, addressable lighting, not simple string lights; ask about cost differences upfront.
- Large-scale event and parade productions require significant lead time to design and choreograph; book well ahead of your event date.
- Not a fit for a same-week request during peak holiday season; permanent lighting installs are typically scheduled months in advance.
- Expect a design consultation before pricing, since projects range from a single roofline to a multi-thousand-pixel public event.
Best for
- Homeowners wanting permanent, app or remote-controlled roofline lighting for year-round use
- Event organizers planning a music-synchronized light show or parade
- Businesses wanting architectural accent lighting for a storefront or facility
- Communities and organizations planning a large public holiday lighting event
What they do
Ontario Light Shows offers experiential lighting, architectural accenting, RGB architectural lighting, immersive light displays and permanent holiday lighting. The range covers both a homeowner's year-round permanent roofline system and much larger productions, like a synchronized parade or festival display, using individually controlled pixels rather than fixed-colour strings.
How they work
Installations use IP67 or IP68-rated hardware, which is rated for regular exposure to water and dust, alongside professional DMX or Art-Net controllers, the same category of equipment used in commercial and event lighting. The company states its work has powered more than 65 live events and lit over 1.2 million pixels across Ontario, giving a sense of the scale it operates at compared to typical seasonal light installers.
What homeowners say
A community group in Blenheim credited the company with choreographing an entire parade rather than simply hanging lights, describing the crowd reaction as unforgettable for a small-town event. A Toronto homeowner said their permanent roofline install is invisible from the curb during the day, and described running warm white lighting most of the year with the option to switch to full RGB colour for holidays.
Where they work
The company's stated service area runs from Chatham-Kent to Toronto, covering a wide swath of Ontario for both residential permanent lighting and larger public event productions. Homeowners and event organizers should confirm travel and scheduling specifics for their location and event date.

What customers say
“Ontario Light Shows didn't just hang lights — they choreographed our whole parade. The crowd reaction was unbelievable. It changed what a small-town Christmas parade can be.”
“The roofline install is genuinely invisible from the curb during the day. At night I run warm white most of the year, then unlock the full RGB on holidays. Worth every dollar.”
